About Asheq Fana: Asheq Lawangeen Fana was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. He attended Kabul University Law School from 1984 to 1987. He left Afghanistan and went to Pakistan in 1987. He took a part in fighting communism and Soviet Union occupation in Afghanistan with his writings and poetry in Peshawar. He was editor of a freedom fighter's newspaper during his stay in Peshawar. Some of his writing and poetry was published in newspapers and magazines. He came to the United States in 1989. He represented and defended Union employees' right and was a union representative and safety and quality controller at Mark Container Corporation in San Leandro, CA until 2003. He is now managing Scootees at New Park Mall, Newark, CA. Asheq is an active member of the Islamic and Afghan community. His poetry and writings are heard in major Afghan events and celebrations in the Bay Area. He writes poetry in Pashto, Dari, and English. He is currently living in the Bay Area and has three children, Mateen, Sadaf, and Mustafa. He is the producer of one of Noor TVs most talked about shows, De Abab Ghotay.

He also believes that this show will promote using the power of your mind, knowledge, and pen to conquer guns and swords. This show is for all Afghans, regardless of their use of language, tribal relation, or political views. The main goal of De Adab Ghotay is to achieve national unity.
